Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham’s interest in Conor Gallagher continues to be strong as the midfielder’s future at Chelsea remains up in the air.

Over the last few weeks, several outlets have suggested that Gallagher might reject a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer and might even threaten to run down his contract and leave on a free transfer in 12 months.

This comes amidst consistent links with a potential move across London to Tottenham this summer.

As a result, some sources have claimed that Chelsea are coming around to the idea of offering the 24-year-old a new deal (HITC).

Tottenham’s interest has not faded

However, Gold points out that Tottenham have not given up hope of swopping for Gallagher this summer, with the midfielder’s future far from sorted out.

In fact, it is revealed that the Blues are yet to begin any official talks with the player’s entourage over a new deal.

The journalist further points out that new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is looking to bring Leicester City star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to West London, which could potentially see Gallagher become surplus to requirements.
