The pride of Shepard Park, named “America’s most beautiful lakeside amphitheater,” woke the village of Lake George at 3 a.m. with fire and smoke. The fire led to the structure being torn down. 1. Shepard Park Bandstand torn down after morning fire

The pride of Shepard Park, named “America’s most beautiful lakeside amphitheater,” woke the village of Lake George at 3 a.m. with fire and smoke. State and County investigators determined the cause to be an electrical issue.

2. One arrested after fatal crash on Fonda Road in Waterford

The Waterford Police Department is investigating a car crash on Fonda Road in the Town of Waterford at approximately 8:44 p.m. on Saturday. Police have confirmed that a 14-year-old girl was found dead at the scene.

3. Water main break in East Greenbush, Rensselaer

The town of East Greenbush has announced an active water main break in East Greenbush and the city of Rensselaer. The Commissioner of Public Works has issued a water restriction for East Greenbush.

4. Local food pantry hosts fundraiser to combat food insecurity

The Shalom Food Pantry in Albany hosted its 7th annual Battle of the BBQ fundraising event at the Albany Jewish Community Center on Sunday. The fundraiser has remained a staple of the food pantry’s mission to feed their community and tackle food insecurity in the Capitol Region.
