One arrested after fatal crash on Fonda Road in Waterford
WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The Waterford Police Department is investigating a car crash on Fonda Road in the Town of Waterford at approximately 8:44 p.m. on Saturday. Police have confirmed that a 14-year-old girl was found dead at the scene.
The second passenger in the car was a 16-year-old boy who was transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the driver, Everhett Hatlee, 18, of Troy, was found to be driving under the influence of marijuana after a field sobriety test and was arrested on the following charges:
- First-degree vehicular manslaughter
- Second-degree vehicular manslaughter
- Endangering the welfare of a child
- Aggravated DWI with a child less than 16
- Operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs
- Reckless driving
- Multiple traffic infractions

The driver was processed at the Waterford Police Department. Hatlee was then arraigned and then transferred to Saratoga County Jail.
