Thunderstorms, heat expected in NY, NJ
NEW YORK (PIX11) – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the tri-state area through 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain can start coming down as early as 2 p.m., according to PIX11 meteorologists.
High temperatures are in the mid-80s. If you plan on attending the NYC Pride March, be sure to bring an umbrella and water to stay hydrated.
The rainy weather will clear out by Monday, ushering in sunshine and cooler temperatures in the upper-70s.
Tuesday is expected to see similar conditions, with temps in the mid-80s.
Wednesday may see some clouds in the sky with temps in the low-80s.
Heat will make its return on the Fourth of July on Thursday, with temps possibly reaching the upper-80s.
