‘Gutted’ Zara McDermott reunites with boyfriend Sam Thompson amid ‘crisis talks’
ZARA McDermott has reunited with boyfriend Sam Thompson after The Sun revealed their relationship is on the rocks – yet she’s admitted she’s “gutted.”
We reported this weekend how the couple – whose romance was first aired on reality TV series Made In Chelsea – are locked in crisis talks.

The couple, who began dating in 2019, headed on a walk around a sun-soaked park, stopping off at an ice cream van for refreshment.
Zara admitted she was “feeling gutted” after their treat – this being because of the lack of one particular topping.
She posted a snap of their 99 ices to her Instagram, with Zara’s in a special cone adorned with hundreds and thousands.
Yet she told fans: “Feeling gutted because the ice cream man didn’t have any sprinkles.”
She then added a sad Emoji icon and tagged Sam‘s profile.
Their reunion came after Sam, 31, was spotted crying on pal Pete Wicks‘ shoulder at this week’s TRIC awards.
A source exclusively told us of their troubles – which saw Zara pack a bag and stay in Essex before her recent modelling trip overseas.
She was seen striking a pose in a flirty yellow dress as she put her relationship drama to one side during the trip.
They told us: “Since Christmas Zara and Sam have been really busy with work and have had little quality time to see each other and as a result their relationship has suffered.
“They’ve both wanted to make the most of their careers and say yes to all the exciting opportunities offered to them.
“Last weekend it came to a head and they had a big row.
“It was very upsetting and they needed some time to let the dust settle.”
The source added to us: “Zara had a work commitment in Majorca but has now returned home to be with Sam and try to iron out their differences and have crisis talks.
“They really want to try and make the relationship work.”
TOUGH TIMES
It isn’t the first bump in the road for the cute couple.
Earlier this year, they were spotted having an explosive row following a Soccer Aid bash.
At the time, Zara broke her silence after they were seen having a spat while departing an afterparty at Kensington’s Royal Garden Hotel.
On her Instagram page she recalled a conversation between the pair and wrote: “‘Stop saying you should have scored!!!! You did your best and that’s all that matters!! You need to stop doubting yourself!!!”‘
“It looks like we are having an argument but I’m actually telling him positive affirmations in a very passionate manner.”
It came after it was claimed Sam is “very close” to proposing to the Love Island alumni.
Meanwhile, they overcame a cheating scandal at the start of their relationship.
The Sun exclusively revealed in September 2020 that a livid Sam dumped Zara after discovering that she’d cheated on him with fellow X Factor: Celebrity star, Brahim Fouradi.
The couple broke up in the wake of Zara’s infidelity but happily got back together two months later.
