The weekend weather in the UK has resumed to normal and easygoing temperatures after the heatwave as Three Lions face Slovakia in the Euro.

As the month of June nears its end, you can let now out a sigh of relief if you found the mini heatwave a bit too much.

Because the Met Office forecast shows things are back to normal average British summer temperatures for the rest of the weekend.

Despite the cooler air, last night hit nearly tropical temperatures, but Sunday is set to be milder than yesterday.

If you’re heading out to a pub beer garden to watch the Euro 2024 game England vs Slovakia, you should be fine without an umbrella in most parts of the country.

The latest Met Office weather update shows that any sunshine will be across the southern counties of England, but most of the day will be dry across the UK thanks to a high pressure front.

Some patchy showers could develop throughout the morning, but the afternoon and evening looks mostly dry.

Southern England will see highs of 23C by late afternoon, while temperature could reach around 18C in Wales, northern England and central Scotland.

Monday will start largely dry and clear, but by 8am some rain will move in from the west, bringing showers to most of the UK expect the very southern tip of England.

London weather on Sunday, June 30

The morning temperatures in the capital are set hover just short of 20C by 6am, before the temperature will dip for a few hours.

By afternoon, the weather will remain cloudy with around 20C forecast, which will be the maximum temperature for the last day of the weekend.

While it’s a far cry from the heatwave temperatures, it should be perfect for dancing if you’re heading out for the BST Hyde Park festival or watching the Three Lions game.

However, don’t let the temperature fool you – the UV level will still be ‘high’.

And if you’re suffering from hay fever symptoms, the agony for this summer isn’t over yet as the pollen level is set to be ‘very high’ on Sunday, according to the Met Office.

Glastonbury Festival weather forecast

On Saturday, Glastonbury revelers were treated to Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper, Disclosure and Bloc Party among others.

Festivalgoers might have woken up bleary-eyed with very little or no sleep, but the final day of the festival still has a lot in store.

There is a chance of light rain developing between 6am and 7am before it makes way for a cloudy sky until the afternoon.

Temperature is set to peak at 19C and the sun should peek from behind the cloud at about 2pm until the rest of the final festival evening.
