Norman, OK - Skip Johnson is staying at Oklahoma. After a tense 24 hours, the Sooners skip decided Norman is home.
Johnson met with Texas A&M on Friday about their head baseball coaching vacancy, but also met with OU AD Joe Castiglione in their annual post season meeting.
Johnson announced he was staying at Oklahoma via X with his patented "Lookie Here" tweet along with a home emoji and the words, "Boomer Sooner."
Castiglione announced Saturday that Johnson had agreed to a contract extension that runs through 2029 and includes a raise.
Johnson led Oklahoma to their first Big 12 regular season title in program history along with their first Regional hosting bid since 2010.
