1. Jasprit Bumrah

The Indian pacer arguably was the best bowler of the tournament taking 15 wickets at an economy rate of only 4.17. He was chosen as the Player of the Tournament for a reason. He single-handedly changed the match in India’s favor numerous times throughout the tournament. His spell in the final against South Africa also proved to be crucial as he only gave away 18 runs in his quota of 4 overs and also took 2 wickets. He was once again India’s most economical bowler on the field.

2. Rohit Sharma

The Indian captain proved to be a great leader for the Indian team throughout the tournament. He was the leading run-scorer for India and the second-highest leading run-scorer of the tournament with 257 runs. His best knocks came against Australia in the Super 8 and against England in the semi-finals. With this T20 World Cup triumph, Rohit became the first-ever Indian player to win 2 T20 World Cups.

3. Arshdeep Singh

The Indian pacer was the highest wicket-taker for his side taking 17 wickets and was also the joint highest wicket-taker of the tournament alongside Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi. Bumrah may be getting all the spotlight but Arshdeep’s ability of bagging wickets in every match needs to be appreciated more. He also bowled a great spell in the final against South Africa, taking 2 wickets and only giving away 20 runs in his 4 overs.

4. Suryakumar Yadav

The batsman proved to be one of the most important players for the Indian side throughout the tournament. He was the second-highest run-scorer for India with 199 runs only behind captain Rohit Sharma. His best knocks came against the likes of Afghanistan, USA and England. On top of this, his fabulous catch in the final to dismiss David Miller will go down as one of the best catches of the tournament.

5. Hardik Pandya

Pandya came into this tournament after a dismal IPL 2024 campaign with Mumbai Indians. Many were even questioning his selection in the team. However, he proved all the doubters wrong from the first match itself by bowling a great spell against Ireland. He continued to give good performances and, in the final, took 3 scalps which included the important wicket of David Miller to lead India to victory with fantastic figures of 3/20. It’s safe to say that with these performances, he has justified his place in the playing 11.
