Person dies after bike crash on Walnut Creek Trail in east Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died Saturday morning after a bike crash on the Walnut Creek Trail, authorities said.

Austin-Travis County EMS said the crash happened near Loyola Lane in east Austin. Medics responded to the wilderness rescue call around 9 a.m. and performed CPR on the adult.

ATCEMS said the person died after "extensive resuscitative efforts."
