SOMETIMES the best beauty results are the least expected ones.

She might have intended to help her skin, but one beauty lover’s cheap buys gave her even more eye-popping effects – literally.

Redditor Stavthedonkey was surprised by how the frugal finds gave her longer lashes, but she certainly wasn’t complaining.

First, she started out with castor oil – and only for one specific purpose.

“OK, I didn’t originally use this for any type of hair growth but for my skin,” she said.

“I mix two drops with about three drops of rosehip oil and apply to my face to boost hydration,” she continued.

It turns out that she was about to get even more unexpected benefits from the buys.

“And it’s not only making my skin hella plump and smooth but I just noticed today that my lashes look thicker and longer?” she said.

“I was surprised, too. I was getting ready to go to dinner and curled my usually sparse and short lashes, but this time they looked fuller and longer and I was like what the f**k.

“Went to my 10X mirror and they seem to be longer and fuller – which says a lot because I’m Asian and my lashes are short and sparse as f**k.”

Others were already eager to get the same outcome.

“Omg, this is exciting! OK, I’m going to put up with the gloopyness and I will report my results!” said another platform user.

This was not an issue for our original poster had a solution for getting a smoother texture.

“You have to dilute the castor with another carrier oil to help it absorb better. Rosehip has been my HG face oil for decades so I just mixed this with the castor,” she said.

The best part is it’s not going to cost much more to upgrade your routine.

Amazon sells Kate Blanc Cosmetics Organic Cold Pressed Castor Oil which is on sale for $9.99.

Pure castor oil can be used as a natural remedy for dry hair.

Composed of fatty acids, it is also meant to help reduce fine lines and acne and combat other skin conditions.

She also wasn’t shy about sharing her other favorite find.

“Which brand of rosehip oil do you use?” asked another Redditor.

“The Ordinary!” she replied.

The magic product is The Ordinary Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil which sells for $10.90.

The buy is described as being ideal for combatting dull, dry skin, as well as any signs of aging.

It seemed its main ingredient, rosa canina seed oil, was working overtime to give extra growth.

It also seemed that her advice was working.

“I’ve been using it consistently since I posted this and my eyebrows have filled out a lot and my lashes look fuller. Definitely recommend,” said the Redditor who had originally complained about gloopyness.

“I have dry/dehydrated skin and my skin is used to/loves face oils so it just slurps it right up!” our original Redditor commented.
