13-year-old dies in Utica after being shot by police

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A 13-year-old died after he was shot by police in Utica on Friday night.
During the stop conducted by police at 10:18 p.m., one of the juveniles ran from the officers and according to police while they were running displayed what looked like a handgun. A Utica Police Officer shot at and struck the male.
The 13-year-old male was transported to Wynn Hospital where he died from his wounds.
