CESC FABREGAS has been praised for his “crazy” pulling power after Raphael Varane reportedly landed in Como for talks to join the club.

The Italian outfit, who earned a spot in Serie A following promotion from Serie B last season, are said to be in talks to land the 31-year-old defender.

MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: All the latest deals and rumours from Old Trafford

The French World Cup winner announced his departure from Manchester United at the end of the season, and will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of June.

Varane has fielded interest from David Beckham’s Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.

But Como, where Fabregas is assistant manager, emerged as another suitor with the ex-Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona star wanting to make Varane his “dream” signing.

And it now seems they have taken a massive step towards that goal.

That is because Fabrizio Romano has reported Varane has landed in Como to hold face-to-face talks over a transfer.

The report adds Varane will speak to both the Como board and Fabregas as discussions take place.

Other big names at the club are Dennis Wise as a board adviser and Thierry Henry as a minority shareholder with Fabregas.

Fans were astonished at the prospect of the transfer.
