Redditor Gnmelyfe shared the anti-aging beauty tip in a post.

She recommended a $16 bottle of the Youtheory Advanced Collagen supplements with vitamin C.

“Make sure to take a before photo and a 30-day progress pic when you’ve been consistently taking every day,” she said.

“[The] results are so good! [My] skin is plump and looks hydrated, fine lines are softened, and [my] skin just looks more glowy!

“Even take a pic of your cuticles to see the before and after.”

She explained that the supplements omitted key ingredients that can cause breakouts.

“What you need to look out for is [vitamin] B12 and biotin, as those are often in ‘hair skin nails’ formulas too,” she said.

“Those can cause acne (creates excess sebum which can develop into clogged pores and acne).”

The Redditor also recommended NeoCell’s Super Collagen Plus Vitamin C supplements.

“These two are great, and I get results from them,” she said.

While both supplements worked for her, she warned that your mileage may vary and advised shoppers to look for a specific ingredient for best results.

“Collagen can cause acne in some types, so make sure you take photos and track your progress if you feel like your skin is getting greasy (excess sebum),” she said.

“It should also include vitamin C so everything synthesizes in your body and works!

“Many collagen peptides alone (like vital proteins) aren’t enough to get that glow [because] they don’t contain vitamin C.”

Dr. Anatalia Moore is a GP and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.

She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.

“Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients,” she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.

“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”

Amazon shoppers raved about the Youtheory Advanced Collagen supplements, which have acquired tens of thousands of five-star reviews.

“I started seeing results in about a week. My skin quality has increased, my nails are longer and no longer brittle, and I have less breakage from my hair,” wrote one reviewer.

“I’m a white male in my mid-40s; in my youth, I’ve endured the worst sunburns ever but stayed totally out of the sun for decades,” wrote another.

“[My] skin was okay, I eat very healthy and drink lots of water. A few years ago, I started using the competitor version of collagen, it worked well, and I was happy.

“Came across this brand recently and thought I’d try it: OMG, I cannot believe how much my skin has changed.

“I probably have better skin than I did when I was 12. It feels plump and smooth, and a very nice moisture comes out of my skin that kind of glistens. So happy, thank you!”
