Love Island 2024 stars’ pre-villa salaries revealed – including Joey Essex’s £8million payday
LOVE Island’s main mission is to help singletons find some romance – but it also helps that there’s also £50,000 on the line for favourite couples.
But new revelations about this year’s casts’ paydays have revealed that some were raking in the cash way before jetting off to ITV2‘s Mallorca villa.
From one cheeky £8million pay day to simple 9 to 5’s, here’s everything you need to know about the cast’s previous earnings.
Joey has been raking in the dough since his first appearance on Towie over a decade ago[/caption]Joey Essex
Job Role: Reality star (including Towie, Dancing On Ice, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here) and businessman
Earnings: Approx £8million
Between his multiple appearances on reality shows, his businesses under the umbrella name Fusey, and other investments, Joey has not been silly when it comes to his money.
However, there is a catch to this – Joey Essex Management has failed to file accounts for the past FOUR years, and he could face criminal prosecution if it’s not sorted soon.
Despite the problems, he’s launched two new businesses according to Companies House before entering the villa – both production companies, which signal potential plans to try and crack Hollywood.
Munveer has travelled the world as part of his job[/caption]Munveer Jabbal
Job Role: Talent recruitment manager at Bain & Company
Earnings: £91,000 to £98,000
Munveer was living a pretty lavish lifestyle before entering the villa, sharing pictures of luxury holidays and at fancy restaurants.
This includes partying at the fancy Billionaire nightclub in Dubai, as well as sunsoaked breaks from Barcelona to Bali.
This is all funded by a pretty cushy job at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm.
Ayo Odukoya
Job Role: Model / Semi Pro Footballer at Redbridge FC
Earnings: Approximately £90,000 per year
Between his modelling jobs and his position as a footballer in Isthmian League, North Division, Ayo was on a tidy earning streak before going on the show.
Ronnie is a semi-pro footballer[/caption]Ronnie Vint
Job Role: Semi-pro footballer at Lewes FC
Earnings: Approx £52,000 a year
Ronnie Vint has made a living as a semi-pro footballer for Lewes FC, which in 2019 stated they paid their players between £100 and £250 a week.
This is more than likely to have gone up slightly in the five years since.
Sean has made no secret of his sweets business passion project[/caption]Sean Stone
Job Role: Owner of Sweet Delivery and graphic designer
Earnings: Approximately £50,000
Sean has made no secret he is incredibly proud of his sweets business, which is proving to be a slow and steady effort.
Launching in 2020, Companies House records state his assets for Sweet Delivery are worth £21,820.
To subsidise his flourishing business, Sean also works as a graphic designer, for which he earns approximately £29,736 a year.
Harriett helps others with their purchases[/caption]Harriett Blackmore
Job Role: Personal Shopper and Dancer
Earnings: Approx. £35,275
Harriett is clearly glam by nature, and utilises this skill to help others as a personal shopper.
Her dancer background and earnings is a bit more difficult to pin down, with the industry being a ‘gig economy’ meaning it varies from year-to-year.

Job Role: Office Administrator
Earnings: Approx. £22,000 to £26,000
Pretty Patsy didn’t last too long in the villa, after failing to find a connection with any of the boys.
Before appearing on the show, she worked as an office administrator, which helps with the day-to-day running of a business’s HQ.
Sam Taylor was hoping to use his stylist skills to his advantage[/caption]Sam Taylor
Job Role: Hair Stylist
Earnings: Approx. £19,000 to £30,000 per year
Before entering the Love Island villa, Chesterfield native Sam hoped his skills as a hair stylist would be useful to him in the villa.
He often shows off his skills online via his Instagram account, @SamTaylorHair.
Unfortunately, after being booted from the show after just 48 hours, it wasn’t to be.
He’s since shown fans he’s returned to his place in at Salon Sixty in Sheffield.
Tiffany Leighton
Job Role: HR Co-ordinator
Earnings: Approx £30,000 a year
Tiffany, who was dumped in a shock decision on Sunday night, previously worked in human resources.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she started as a receptionist for the Hertfordshire-based company five years ago.
She worked her way up to her HR position.
The average wage for this position comes to around £30,000 a year.
Samantha was dumped from the island after a few weeks[/caption]Samantha Kenny
Job Role: Make up artist and influencer
Earnings: Approx £15,000 to £35,000 a year
Samantha found herself dumped from the island last week after she was paired with Joey Essex.
She works as a make up artist and regularly posts snaps of her work on Instagram.
Grace Jackson was a model before entering the villa[/caption]Grace Jackson
Job Role: Influencer and model
Earnings: Approx. £60,000
She has collaborated with big brands including Fashion Nova and Rihanna‘s lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty.
The blonde beauty is signed to Manchester-based agency MM Models and regularly shares her racy bikini snaps over on her Instagram page.

Mimii Ngulube
Job Role: Actor and training to be a mental health nurse
Earnings: Aprox. £20-25,000
Miimii is studying to be a mental health nurse, which could come in handy in the pressure cooker environment of the villa.
She is also an actor who enjoys performing in theatre shows.
In a production of Grease in Portsmouth, Mimii played the part of Marty.
Uma Jammeh
Job Role: Model and VIP Host
Earnings: £30,000 – £60,000
Uma is the youngest contestant this year at 23. Before going on Love Island she was a VIP host and model.
She’s been slowly building her influencer following on social media, which will only increase during her popularity on the show.
Uma has partnered with Pretty Little Thing in the past, which would hint that she’s got big things ahead of her.
Jess White
Job Role: Retail manager
Earnings: Aprox. £31,000
Jess, who hails from Stockport, worked as a retail manager at Marks & Spencer.
She reportedly walked away from a big promotion after she was told the news of her casting.
The Islander apparently didn’t give bosses the reason behind her leaving the company.
According to the Mirror, her bosses “jumped through hoops” to promote her to Store Manager and her leaving didn’t go down well.
Nicole[/caption]Nicole Samuel
Job Role: Account manager and model
Earnings: £41,000
Nicole Samuel is a 23-year-old model and account manager from Aberdare, Wales, making her the youngest girl on Love Island 2024.
She is also a former world champion dancer — Nicole was a professional street dancer and lifted the title in 2011.
Former villa stars Scott van-der-Sluis and Bayley Mummery follow her on Instagram.
Wil Anderson
Job Role: Quantity surveyor
Earnings: Estimated £50,000 per year (dependant on experience)
Hailing from Whitley Bay, the 23-year-old is a quantity surveyor.
There’s not a huge amount of information on where he works, or how long he’s been working in that field.
His family are used to high profile members, as his brother Elliot plays football for Newcastle United.
Omar Nyame
Job Role: PE Teacher and Events Promoter
Earnings: £30,000 (teacher) and £29,000 (events promoter)
Omar is a PE teacher from Croydon.
He reportedly brought Stormzy to meet his students once after it was revealed they were pals.
He also reportedly works as an events promoter for ‘We Are Sauced’.
Ciaran Davies is a rugby player in Wales[/caption]Ciaran Davies
Job Role: Surveyor and Rugby Player
Earnings: Aprox. £39,000-£46,000
Ciaran Davies is a 21-year-old surveyor from Pencoed, South Wales.
He also plays for Rugby Union team Tondu RFC.
Ciaran competes for the first team in the position of second row.

Love Island stars who have returned to their normal jobs
APPEARING on Love Island means that you are catapulted into the world of showbiz with thousands of new followers.
While many of the Islanders love their new found fame, there are a handful who have returned to their previous jobs before the villa.
Dr Alex George
Dr Alex appeared on Love Island back in 2018.
Before the ITV2 show he was an A&E doctor and after Love Island he continued to work at Lewisham Hospital.
The star worked on the frontline during the Covid pandemic between 2020 and 2021.
Georgia Townend
Georgia was a bombshell during the ninths series of Love Island in 2021.
Before the villa, Georgia worked as a marketing executive at supermarket Lidl – and she returned shortly after.
She currently works as a marketing manager at M&S.
Anna Vakili
Anna appeared in Love Island 2019 and gained a huge social media following.
But during the pandemic, she returned to the pharmacy as a pharmacist.
Malin Anderson
Malin shot to fame in 2016 while on Love Island.
Before the programme Malin worked as elderly and palliative carer – and just like Alex and Anna – she returned to her old job during the years of the pandemic.
Rachel Fenton
Rachel was also on the show in 2016.
Similar to the other Islanders working in the health service, she returned to the clinic as a orthopaedic clinical nurse during Covid.
Jay Younger
Jay was on the show in 2022 and returned to his job as an investment analyst just a week after he was dumped from the villa.
Abigail Rawlings
Abigail was on the seventh series of the show and made the decision to return to work as a tattoo artist shortly after she was dumped.
