A Springfield, Oregon man, who was a member of an international drug trafficking organization, has been sentenced to federal prison after authorities seized over 100 pounds of drugs and firearms from the group, authorities announced Friday.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Springfield, Oregon man, who was a member of an international drug trafficking organization, has been sentenced to federal prison after authorities seized over 100 pounds of drugs and firearms from the group, authorities announced Friday.

Officials said 38-year-old Rodolfo Arroyo-Segoviano was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison with three years’ supervised release.

According to court documents, Arroyo-Segoviano managed a local distribution network for the Mexico-based organization between April and August of 2020 and was responsible for trafficking large quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine to the United States.

During the investigation, authorities seized over 178 pounds of meth, 12 pounds of heroin, and six pounds of fentanyl, along with 18 rifles, rifle optics and ammunition, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon said.

Investigators additionally forfeited about $1.2 million from the organization, including more than $400,000 in cash.

On July 31, 2020, Arroyo-Segoviano was charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, and in early April 2024, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth.

Overall, 35 people – including sources in Mexico and local operators in Lane County – have been convicted for their roles in the organization.

“The prosecution of this international drug trafficking organization represents the tireless dedication of our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners combatting the drug trafficking plaguing our communities,” said Natalie Wight, U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon.
