One person tagged a friend and wrote: “Think you should buy it and invite us for a pool party!”, while another said: “Bought one 3 days ago. Well worth the money x.”

Polly has been bargain hunting since she was 13 years old.

Every year, Polly buys around 250 gifts for numerous people and has a strict budget of £20 per gift – so she’s mastered the art of finding good deals.

And she knows exactly where to look. Polly says: “My favourite shops to find bargains are Boots and Superdrug

She says try to get to B&M, Home Bargains, and Wilkinson as they have the best deals all year round.

Polly says: “You will usually get deeper discounts in stores especially when retailers are trying to clear shelves, but keep an eye on their stuff online too.”

Earlier this week we told how Argos shoppers are rushing to buy a summer kid’s must-have that’s scanning for over 50% off.

The retailer has slashed the price of its Summer Escapes 9ft Octagonal Family pool from £55 to just £20, less than half price.

The pool comes with an overall 4.5 out of 5 star rating online, with plenty commenting on its value for money.

Savvy savers have already spotted the deal on Argos‘ website, with one posting about it on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

The post has notched up dozens of likes and comments from shoppers who have bought one of the pools, or are keen to.

One said: “Picked up that pool yesterday and it’s fantastic value for money.”

Another added “ah class” while a third, who has bought one, commented saying it was “a lot bigger than expected”.

If you’re looking to buy one of the pools from Argos, you’ll have to pay a fee to get it delivered to your front door.

When we looked at ordering one to South-East London, it was £3.95.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
