'The Lawn' to debut at Stuyvesant Plaza's Summer Market

Stuyvesant Plaza's annual Summer Market is returning ton July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature the debut of "The Lawn," the Plaza's new greenspace in front of Jean Paul Spa and Salons.

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Stuyvesant Plaza's annual Summer Market is returning ton July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature the debut of "The Lawn," the Plaza's new greenspace in front of Jean Paul Spa and Salons.

For the Summer Market, Plaza shops and restaurants will be having sidewalk sales and food and drink tastings. The event also features face painting, balloon animals, live music from FLY 92.3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and music from DJ Ayo from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Lawn is a turf area and hardscaped patio space that will offer seating for guests during the Summer Market. There will also be games and free Wi-Fi.

"We can’t wait to celebrate the summer season with our guests, as well as unveil our new greenspace," said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. "Come shop sidewalk sales from your favorite retailers, indulge in food and beverage tastings from our delicious eateries and take part in some great family-friendly fun. The Summer Market is the perfect way to spend a Saturday in the Capital Region."

Guests who spend $200 or more at Stuyvesant Plaza businesses at the Summer Market will get a surprise swag item from the Stuyvesant Plaza booth on The Lawn while supplies last. One item per party.

This is the first event being held on the 3,000 square foot Lawn. Construction on The Lawn started in April. You can reserve a spot for the Summer Market on the Eventbrite website.
