Family gets A/C fixed after News 4 steps in

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — An Edmond family has working A/C again, and they say it is all thanks to News 4's In Your Corner team.

We spoke with Summer Moore and her apartment complex Tuesday and in less than 24 hours, her A/C was fixed.

Our first story aired Tuesday night at 10, and by Wednesday morning maintenance crews came out to Moore's apartment at Oxford Oaks in Edmond to fix her air conditioning.

"So, about 9:30 a.m., I got a knock on the door and they had sent a corporate employee saying, 'hey, we're here to fix your AC,'" Moore said.

That was a knock she has been waiting for, for more than a month. Trying to stay cool with no working A/C through the heat of summer.

"So, they worked on it for about an hour and a half and it started cooling, and by last night it was at 71 degrees," Moore said.

For the first time in a long time, Moore and her kids were actually cold inside of the apartment.

"They are definitely liking it," Moore said. "They were complaining this morning they were too cold. They didn't get up one time and they actually slept in. I had to wake them up."

She says that is all thanks to News 4's In Your Corner team for stepping in to help.

"After a month of reaching out, all it took was giving you guys a call and they were already knocking on the door to correct the issue," Moore said.

She says they will now be able to be comfortable inside of their apartment, and and can't thank News 4 enough for stepping in to help.

"Thank you to News 4 and the In Your Corner team, I appreciate it a lot," Moore said.
