FINE lines and wrinkles can be visibly reduced without cosmetic injections, according to a nutritionist.

Among his tips for defying the signs of aging are ways to increase collagen production and improve skin texture.

Daniel Herman is the founder of Bio-Synergy, a UK-based sports supplements company.

Products include a Bio-Synergy DNA & Epigenetics kit to identify the risk of collagen breakdown and skin glycation followed by advice to mitigate it.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he shared affordable anti-aging tips.

FULLER WITHOUT FILLER

Herman recommended focusing on collagen production to regain the skin’s youthful plumpness.

“Apply retinoid creams to boost collagen production and improve skin texture,” he said.

“Use good quality collagen and vitamin supplements.

“Incorporate peptide-rich products to stimulate collagen and elastin production.”

DEWY GLOW UP

Herman said a selection of ingredients in at-home skincare products can replace the need for Botox.

“Use serums containing antioxidants like Vitamin C and E to protect the skin from free radical damage,” he said.

The antioxidants can also be found in certain makeup products to protect against environmental damage.

He said skin can appear hydrated and “plump” with another popular ingredient.

“Keep the skin well-hydrated with moisturizers containing hyaluronic acid,” he said.

“Many foundations and powders now include SPF to protect the skin from UV damage.

“Establish and maintain a consistent skincare routine tailored to your skin type and concern.”

FULL BODY WORKOUT

He said a dermatologist or skincare professional may be able to offer a personalized recommendation for the best treatments.

However, it’s important to prioritize “a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management to support overall skin health.”

“Practice facial yoga or exercises to tone facial muscles and improve circulation,” he added.

How to rejuevenate hands

Herman shared his must-try tips for making hands look younger.

“Use rich hand creams containing ingredients like shea butter, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid to keep the skin hydrated and plump,” he said.

“Regularly exfoliate with gentle scrubs or alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover.

“Apply retinoid creams to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture.

“Use hydrating hand masks or paraffin wax treatments to deeply moisturize and rejuvenate the skin.”

Herman’s advice to practice face yoga comes after a study published by the National Library of Medicine.

In 2018, a small group of women aged 45 to 65 committed to doing facial exercises daily for 30 minutes.

Most participants saw a visible improvement in the fullness of their faces within 20 weeks.

Many people believe that face yoga can strengthen facial muscles, but further research is needed to support the claims.
