Jury convicts Catskill woman of 2021 murder
CATSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Greene County jury found Carrie Weiser guilty of second-degree murder for fatally stabbing 68-year-old Scott Myers on Thursday. After two days of deliberation, the jury delivered the verdict.
On Nov. 27, 2021, around midnight, police were called to an apartment in Catskill, where they found Myers with a stab wound in the left side of his neck. Myers died on the scene after bleeding out due to his carotid artery was severed.
Weiser was arrested on Nov. 27, 2021, and indicted on a second-degree murder charge in early December. Weiser will be sentenced in Greene County Court on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m.
