NEW YORK (PIX11) – You won't be able to grab any free front-row tickets to the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks show on Thursday.
Tickets, which went online at 10 a.m., were gone just before 11 a.m. PIX11 News staff who tried to get tickets were queued for nearly two hours.
The website seemingly crashed before all tickets were given away, with a message reading, "Application error. EventCreate is temporarily unavailable."
The website now displays a message that reads, "Thank you for your interest. All tickets have now been claimed."
Around 2,000 tickets were given out on Wednesday before the website crashed, according to the mayor's office. Over 1 million people tried to claim the tickets within five minutes of the website going live.
You can still attend the show even if you didn't manage to grab the free tickets.
The mayor's office confirmed to PIX11 that all free front-row tickets were given away, and reiterated that the event is open to the general public.
