MANHATTAN (KSNT) - K-State baseball's Kaelen Culpepper is now an All-American.

The Wildcat shortstop, who played his final season in Manhattan in 2024, was named a second team All-American by D1Baseball.com on Wednesday.

Culpepper hit .328 while slugging .574 as a junior with Kansas State, most notably crushing a three-run home run to help bolster the 'Cats to a regional win against Arkansas.

He's the first ever K-State position player to earn All-American status by D1Baseball specifically and the second overall player in the Pete Hughes era.

Culpepper is projected as the No. 32 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline.
