Ayumi Hamasaki Releases 'Aurora,' Official Anniversary Theme Song for 'Azur Lane' - Watch the Music Video!

Ayumi Hamasaki is back with a new theme song!

The J-Pop icon, who is currently celebrating her 26th anniversary since her debut, has just released her latest single “Aurora.”

The mid-tempo rock ballad serves as the official theme song for the 7th anniversary of the wildly popular game Azur Lane, which was first released in 2017.

Set in an alternate timeline of World War II, players engage in side-scrolling shooter gameplay, using female characters based on warships from the war’s major participants.

Lyrically, “Aurora” speaks to overcoming the challenges of adversity to finally encounter a stunning aurora.

The accompanying music video for “Aurora” was also released at the same time, in which she delivers an emotive performance.

The song follows Ayu‘s April release, “BYE-BYE.”
