Share Market Highlights 26 June 2024: Sensex-Nifty hit all-time high as trading session closes in green ; Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Ultratech Cement, Grasim among top gainers

Sensex, Nifty updates on 26 June 2024: Indian benchmark indices reached fresh record highs on Wednesday, driven by gains in banking and media stocks. Sensex closed at 78,572.43, up 518.91 points and Nifty 120.60 points high closing at 23,868.80 after the close of the market on June 26. The BSE Sensex soared to an all-time high of 78,759.40, closing at 78,674.25 with an increase of 620.72 points or 0.80 per cent.Foreign investors made a substantial move by buying Indian equities, while domestic investors showed differing market sentiment by selling shares. Kotak Securities’ Shrikant Chouhan highlighted Nifty’s new high and bullish indicators, with support at 23,600-23,500 and resistance at 23,835-24,000. Bank Nifty aimed for 53,000-53,200 levels after surpassing 52,000. Deepak Jasani of HDFC Securities noted mixed US market close amid Nvidia’s boost and Fed caution. In India, Prashanth Tapse from Mehta Equities pointed out Nifty’s record high at 23,754.15, driven by positive sentiment, with RBI projecting 7.2% growth and strong 5G auction bids.
