Quick thoughts on the Panthers, McDavid, Arizona and goalie trade
The NHL season is finally over
The NHL season is finally over. Congrats to Evan Rodrigues and the Panthers. Playing ability aside, there haven’t been too many more personable and genuinely nice people to come through Pittsburgh in recent years than Rodrigues, which makes it easy to be happy for his success.

A rare occasion happened with Connor McDavid winning the Conn Smythe while being on a losing team. It was another tremendous individual performance for McDavid, but he falls short for a team award again. Tough one to take.
A performance for the ages.

The latest twist in the Coyotes saga continues, their owner is not going to pursue re-starting the franchise. That was always going to be the outcome considering that ownership group could foul up a two car parade, but sad for hockey in Arizona nonetheless. The hurdles of good ownership and finding a capable building remain in place before the NHL can return.

Boston made news before the game last night, trading Linus Ullmark for Jonas Korpisalo and a first round pick. This is really going to test how much the Bruins can insulate a poor goalie. Not sure this is going to work out well for them.
