Traffic incidents in Badakhshan leave 46 dead and 75 injured in past 3 months

Recently, Badakhshan police released statistics showing that in the past three months alone, 46 people have lost their lives, and 75 others have been injured in traffic incidents across various districts of the province.

Bakhtar News Agency today reported, citing police officials from Badakhshan, that women and children are also among the victims and injured in these traffic incidents.

According to the report, based on information from Badakhshan police, these traffic incidents, particularly in difficult-to-pass areas of Badakhshan, have been frequent.

Badakhshan police attribute the main causes of most traffic incidents in the province to drivers’ recklessness and road conditions.

Traffic incidents have been rising in various provinces of the country recently.

Earlier, the General Directorate of Traffic Police announced a plan to prevent traffic incidents in the country, stating that an electronic management plan will be implemented on five major highways known for the highest incidence of traffic accidents.
