Employee’s Brutal Response To Company’s ‘No Work From Home’ Policy Goes Viral

Viral Post: When the entire world was gripped by the Coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic, almost all the institutions and offices arranged for work from home for their staff to keep them safe and also to follow the rules of the lockdown.

Initially it was a bit awkward for both the employers and the employees but slowly, things began to settle down and the wheels were set in motion. Now, that the restrictions have been lifted with the pandemic being over, employers want their workers to come back to the office and work from there.

However, it seems that many of the professionals out there are too much attached to the comforts of their homes with all the freedom, flexibility, and ease of doing things from home, sweet home.

One disgruntled employ who was not happy with his company’s ”no work from home” policy has shared his story on Reddit the screenshot of which is shared on X by BladeoftheSun @BladeoftheS with the caption: “Seems fair to me”

The Reddit post of the employee has become viral. The user mentioned in the post that he is employed in IT and usually works remotely. However, with his company demanding his presence in the office, he has removed email and Teams from his phone, rendering himself unavailable after work hours.

”My job recently told me that even during the snowstorm we got earlier this week, I am not allowed to work from home at all. Even though I work in IT and do everything remotely, they want me in the office. So deleted Teams and my email off my phone. I am no longer available after hours. My boss tried to call me for something urgent last night and couldn’t reach me. He asked why today and explained to him what was told. I am not allowed to work from home,” his Reddit post reads.
