‘Sinister’ horror film just days away from launching on Netflix – just as gory sequel is confirmed
NETFLIX has teased that one of the creepiest horror films of the past decade will be available on their platform in a matter of days.
Smile came out in 2022 and was raved about by viewers, with critics labelling it “sadistically effective” and horror fans admitting to rewatching it as many as four times.

Rose begins to experience disturbing hallucinations where she sees people smiling at her in a sinister way, reminding her of the traumatic event.
Other doctors in her workplace grow alarmed by her erratic behaviour and recommend she takes some time off work.
Rose begins to look into a long string of interconnected suicides and becomes convinced that she has been cursed by witnessing the incident with her patient.
The film made over $217 million at the box office, and due to its popularity, a sequel has now been greenlit.
Netflix revealed that the original film will be available for viewers to watch on Tuesday, July 9.
Several horror fans took to social media to share their excitement about the upcoming release.
One gushed: “The absolute BANGER of a horror movie, Smile, just got added to Netflix.
“INCREDIBLE directing, acting, score, themes. I cannot recommend it enough.”
The sequel is set to be even more horrifying than the first, with one of the actors admitting he got so squeamish he threw up after shooting one of the gruesome scenes.
Kyle Gallner added: “I’m so scared to give any spoilers away. I just — if you love the first movie, you’re gonna love this one.
“It’s so terrifying. It was the first time I’ve ever been on a set where I was genuinely afraid, and I actually got sick to my stomach in one take.
“I didn’t think I would. I just, it was so gory and so disgusting.”
He added to the Hollywood Reporter how ‘shocked’ he was over the intensity of filming the horror.
Kyle will star alongside Naomi Scott, Sosie Bacon and Lukas Gage for the second instalment.
