A CORONATION Street legend is making her way back to the cobbles 47 years after her debut – but with a twist.
Murderer Tracy Barlow will be back in Weatherfield in the coming months after her sudden move to Spain earlier this year.
Viewers saw her choose love and leave for a new life in Spain with former footballer turned painter and decorator Tommy Orpington after their passionate affair.
Now The Sun can exclusively reveal that actress Kate Ford has returned to filming.
However it is not yet a full-time return with the actress just returning for a short stint.
A source said: “Tracy’s a Corrie institution all on her own – she will never be far from the cobbles even when she lives halfway across the world.
“She makes a brief trip back for a week later this summer to visit her family and deal with some Barlow family drama.”
Since Tracy has been gone her dad Ken has suffered a shock collapse and been left with a broken pelvis and needing full-time care.
His family hired cheap as chips Cassie Plummer to help – and she appears set to be falling for Tracy’s ex Steve McDonald.
And to add to that Tracy’s daughter Amy is going to fall prey to sinister Rowan and his cult as Leanne Battersby begins grooming her.
There’s no shortage of drama for Tracy to walk into – but will her visit convince her that she needs to come home from Spain for good?
In a word – yes. The Sun can confirm that actress Kate will return for a full-time comeback later this year.
Sources have revealed that her exit, while seemingly final on-screen, was only ever a short break.

Recent spoilers revealed Steve McDonald – Tracy’s estranged husband – is left gutted when he learns she is not returning to Weatherfield for a visit.
Her change of mind means his plans to win her back have gone up in smoke.
