Minneapolis welcomes thousands of gymnasts to town for U.S. championships and Olympic trials

Local and state officials from the Twin Cities celebrated "the single largest event USA Gymnastics has ever put on" Monday, with 6,000 participants and "tens of thousands more" family, friends and fans coming to Minneapolis for nine days of competition.
