‘It was done on purpose!’ fume Love Island fans as they accuse bosses of ‘stepping in’ during recoupling
LOVE Island fans have been left fuming following the latest recoupling in the villa.
Viewers of the ITV2 show hit out and accused bosses of ‘deliberately’ deciding the order in which the girls picked their guys on Monday night.
Love Island fans have accused bosses of making Harriett choose first at the latest recoupling[/caption] She picked Ronnie after deciding he is a ‘changed man’[/caption] The order in which they chose meant Jess couldn’t pick Ronnie[/caption]As a result, Harriett was able to snare Ronnie before her love rival Jess was able to pick him.
A short while later, Harriett and Ronnie were sent on their first date together – despite having only been coupled up with each other for a few hours.
Harriett, Jess and Ronnie have once again become embroiled in a love triangle over the past few days, with both girls wanting to pursue him.
But the triangle was quickly shut down after Harriett was given the chance to recouple with him – and then being handed a first date.
Jess, meanwhile, has had to couple up with the last man standing – Joey Essex. Joey has lost his love interest, Grace, to bombshell Konnor.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan raged: “Jess wanted to pick Ronnie, ITV should’ve let her pick first!”
Another added: “They should have let Jess pick before all the girls first so she could do something funny, now she’s gonna be stuck picking Joey by default.”
And a third chimed in: “Would’ve been better to let Jess pick first so she could pick Ronnie and cause more drama.”
After watching the new couple enjoy a date with wine and ‘picky bits’, someone else wrote: “I think Ronnie got this date cause producers are tired of Jess, they let Harriet choose him on purpose.”
A second added: “#loveisland producers are forcing Ronnie and Harriet down our throats!”
Another disgruntled viewer moaned: “They’ve been a couple for one day and they get a date already?”
Harriett and Jess both made a U-turn on Ronnie after bombshell Tiffany was given the boot on Sunday night.
He had been pursing Tiffany, meaning they saw their chance to turn his head again once she had left.
When given first dibs at the recoupling, Harriett told Ronnie she hoped he was a “changed man”.
“We have been in here since the beginning together,” she said.
“Not disregarding everything that’s happened in the past week, I do believe in second chances and if he is a changed man, like he says he is, then we will see.”
Love Island - latest dumpings
LOVE Island was rocked by a shock double dumping this weekend. Yet who left?
IT was woe for two bombshells Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton, both 25, who were evicted courtesy of their housemates.
Sunday’s double dumping saw the pair selected for failing to find lasting connections in the villa.
It came just hours after Tiffany had confessed there was “something missing” with Ronnie Vint.
Yet viewers threatened to call Ofcom when Omar was promptly booted out shortly after his spat with Joey Essex, 33.
