Carencro High School janitor charged with child sex crime
FERRIDAY, La. (KLFY) -- A janitor employed by the Lafayette Parish School System is charged with lewd behavior with juveniles, authorities said.
Cody Allen Talley, 37, of Carencro, was arrested and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles on a warrant from the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office. He is listed as a janitor at Carencro High School on the school's website.
The CPSO Cyber Crime Unit began investigating an adult subject June 17 who was communicating with what he believed to be a minor online in a sexual manner, officials said. Upon making contact, the subject allegedly engaged in lewd conversation, requesting photos in return.
Deputies discovered he was employed by the Lafayette Parish School board and was taken into custody June 19 by the Carencro Police Department. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish jail and will be extradited to Concordia Parish, officials said.
Bond details were not released.
