‘Showboating’ Travis Kelce is ‘perfectly comfortable’ in the spotlight – but happy to support Taylor Swift as the ‘star’
TRAVIS Kelce is not one to shy away from attention, and he appeared perfectly at home when he joined Taylor Swift on stage Sunday night, a body language expert has said.
The expert claimed the NFL player’s confident “peacocking” gestures on stage at The Eras Tour sent a “significant message” that he is “The One” for his Grammy-winning girlfriend.
Travis, 34, hit the stage in London on Sunday, joining Taylor, 34, for a hilarious skit during her Tortured Poets Department set.
The football legend set to work in Wembley Stadium before Taylor belted out I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, a runaway hit from her latest album.
The pop track recalls Taylor being “miserable” during parts of the first leg of her tour in 2023, presumably following her breakup with rocker Matt Healy.
Despite singing about crying a lot, breaking down on the floor, and wanting to “die,” she boasts in the song that she still smiled, hit her marks, and put on an incredible show.
Setting up the song, Taylor mimes being depressed and unable to move while her dancers, dressed as circus ringmasters, pick her up and push her back out on stage.
And on June 23, Travis was one of those ringmasters.
His impromptu appearance came as a huge surprise to fans, as it was his first-ever appearance on stage.
Body language expert Judi James said instead of looking embarrassed or shy, Travis was “comfortable.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, dressed in a dapper black top hat and tails, sent the audience into a frenzy.
“This man is in his comfort zone and wants the world to know it,” James told The U.S. Sun.

“As Mr. Swift, he could have looked deliberately coy or embarrassed at being up on that stage with a superstar like Taylor.
“He showed high levels of performer confidence.
“Travis made it look more like his showreel moment than Taylor’s swooning couch scene.
“She lay limply in a convincing display of distress, but Travis arrived with show-boating and peacocking signals.”
SWEEPING HER OFF HER FEET
The sketch kicked off with Travis picking up Taylor and laying her down on a dais.
Travis fanned himself and danced before grinning at her as she changed her costume.
James claimed Travis was “celebrating” being on stage with his partner for the first time.

“It might have been symbolic to fans as Travis lifted Taylor to rescue her from her previous well-documented heartbreak,” she said.
“He carried her limp body along the stage.
“But this was not a tender, romantic role, and he did not play it.
“Travis did a heel-click leap in the air of what looked like a celebration to be up there.
“When he looked at Taylor being picked up, he threw his hands at the audience.
“Travis carried her and shook her, yelling, ‘Wake up!’ in an angry-looking way.
“Throughout, he played to the audience and touched his hat brim in a nod to them.
“Travis was perfectly comfortable acting in front of a massive audience even when he was not the show’s star.
“This also provided a significant message that he is The One.”
After the show, Taylor shared an Instagram post of highlights of the weekend, starting with a snap of her and Travis on stage.
“I’m still cracking up/swooning over [Travis’] Eras Tour debut,” she wrote.
HAS SHE MET HER MATCH?
Taylor and Travis started their relationship in 2023 after he talked about her on his New Heights podcast.
By 2024, they had become Hollywood’s hottest couple.
Taylor showed up at Travis’ football games, and the Super Bowl winner cheered her on when her world tour started in 2023.
Travis’s grin and body language asides to the crowd showed he was having the best fun up there.

He appeared in the audience in Buenos Aires, Kansas City, Singapore, and Sydney.
Taylor’s first England leg culminated in her bringing her beau on stage.
At one point, Taylor was seen being pushed by her backing dancers to make a costume change.
Travis and the group tried to get the superstar back out on stage.
James said Travis carried on putting his spin on it all.
“This was acting, but Travis put his little spin on his role,” she said.
“He did look more like a sports coach at times.
“This was someone who could have got out the sponge and yelled at a player to get back on the pitch.
“Overall, Travis’s grin and body language asides from the crowd showed he was having the best fun up there.”
Interestingly, Travis said he was making his acting debut in May in Ryan Murphy’s horror series Grotesquerie.
He said he felt like an “amateur” on set but added the experience was “a fun challenge.”
Travis also appeared in the reality dating show Catching Kelce in 2016.
He appeared in an SNL skit in 2023 and hosts the Amazon show Am I Smarter Than A Celebrity.
As reported by The U.S. Sun, unlike Taylor’s ex, Joe Alwyn, Travis relishes the limelight.
In a previous interview, James claimed Travis’ body language contrasted with Taylor’s actor ex during their six-year relationship.
The expert said Joe came across as “grumpy and impatient” whenever he was out with Taylor.
Now it appears Travis is in his element.
Before his Eras acting debut on Saturday, he was also seen dancing happily behind actor Tom Cruise in a Wembley VIP box.
He also posed with Taylor, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte for the Prince of Wales’s 42nd birthday.
