World’s sexiest jockey Leonna Mayor reveals she’s been housebound for a week as fans show their concern
LEONNA MAYOR revealed she has been housebound with a virus.
But thankfully the presenter – dubbed the world’s sexiest jockey – is on the mend.
Mayor, 34, took to X to update her followers and share a snap of her enjoying the sunshine.
She wrote: “The sun is helping me out the other side of this virus whatever it was!
“Been housebound for about a week. For the many so kind to check in thank you.”
Fans took to the comments to wish Mayor well.
One posted: “Hope you feel better soon.”
Another added: “Hope you feel better Leonna! You are AWESOME!!!”
A third suggested: “Glad your on the mend Enjoy the sun while you can xxx.”
Mayor, who jetted off to Turkey with rugby star boyfriend Stuart Hogg in April, is an ITV and Sky Sports racing presenter whose promising career was derailed by injury.
She won fans over with her straight-talking style and is not afraid to call it how she sees it.
But speaking of her own riding career, Mayor opened up about an ankle injury halted her promising progress in the saddle.
With 32 winners to her name in the five seasons from 2009 to 2013, it looked like she was set for superstardom until the knock forced her into a career change.
Speaking of her decision to branch out and try new things, Mayor said: “I love racing but it’s hard.
“Everybody works really hard in the sport. For some people it just happens, but for others it doesn’t.
“I feel a lot of the time that although I have ridden 32 winners, it may as well be two.”
