Syracuse University athlete will represent NY at Olympic trials

EUGENE, OR (WSYR) -- Madison Neuner is set to represent Syracuse University and Central New York in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on Monday looking to advance to the finals.

Madison's dream was to make it to the NCAA tournament, but fell short this year by a hair.

Devastated by the results, they decided to turn that frustration into pushing themselves even harder and try to qualify for the Olympic Trials. Their journey has not been easy, but for them, having fun is the main goal of every race.
