GODOY Leads HILL UNITED Past Bear Creek Express as Chiefs finish pool play 4-0

ROMAN GODOY was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 11 strikeouts in HILL UNITED CHIEFS’s 6-1 victory over Bear Creek Express on Saturday. ROMAN GODOY gave up three hits and one run over seven innings while walking two.

BRADLEY EZEKIEL collected three hits in four at bats in the win. BRADLEY EZEKIEL hit a solo home run to center field in the third inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the first inning.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS got on the board in the top of the first inning after BRUNO MOTRONI singled, and QUINTEN BRUCE grounded out, each scoring one run.

Four more HILL UNITED CHIEFS runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 6-1. BRADLEY EZEKIEL hit a solo home run to center field, NICK SHAILES hit a solo home run to left field, and JOSH MCGOVERN singled, scoring two runs.

Sean Cleary took the loss for Bear Creek Express. The starting pitcher went two and one-third innings, surrendering six runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking two.

JOSH MCGOVERN led HILL UNITED CHIEFS with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. They went 1-for-3 on the day. BRUNO MOTRONI collected two hits for HILL UNITED CHIEFS in four at bats. HILL UNITED CHIEFS didn’t commit a single error in the field. BRUNO MOTRONI had the most chances in the field with 11.

Colin Walsh led Bear Creek Express with one run batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. Colin Walsh, Jordan Pomeroy, and Rieley James each collected one hit for Bear Creek Express. Bear Creek Express were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ryan Boland made the most plays with nine.
