Karnataka: 3 Ministers revive talk of additional Dy CM posts after Congress party’s subpar performance in LS polls

Three ministers in the ruling Congress are openly discussing the creation of new posts of Deputy Chief Minister (Dy CM) in Karnataka, despite the party's subpar performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls. The demand has been fueled by community leaders who had sought community-wise posts of Dy CM in the run-up to the polls. Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi, Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna, and Minority Affairs Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan have expressed their opinions, exerting pressure on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
