FORECAST DISCUSSION:

We are keeping our eye on a cold front that is approaching the area. Stay weather aware this afternoon. Parts of central Ohio will see a slight risk for severe weather. Strong winds and large hail are the biggest risks. An isolated tornado cannot be completely ruled out.

When it is not raining, skies will stay mostly cloudy. Temperatures will also be more seasonable with highs only reaching the mid-upper 80s. Winds will be gusty at times, especially as the cold front passes over us.

After the front passes, clouds will clear and temperatures will cool off to the low-mid 60s. These will be the coolest conditions we have seen since the start of the heatwave. Dew points will also be the lowest they have been in about a week. Humidity levels will be a lot more comfortable.

Monday continues the seasonable temperature trend with mostly sunny skies and drier conditions. There will be a slight bump in temps by the middle of the week. After another round of showers and storms Wednesday more seasonable conditions return to end the work week.
