NY Gremlins Take Lead and Never Look Back in Win Over Midland Explorers at Chiefs’ Challenge

NY Gremlins won big over Midland Explorers 12-0 on Saturday.

NY Gremlins got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Zenon Winters hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Blake Hunter drew a walk, scoring one run, Nick Mullins drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored three runs.

Three more NY Gremlins runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 9-0. Jerome Raemaki doubled, scoring one run, and Ladislao Malarczuk homered to left field, scoring two runs.

NY Gremlins added three more runs in the bottom of the third inning on three hits. Gonzalo Masmu hit a solo home run to center field, and Zenon Winters singled, scoring two runs.

Kuba Osi?ka earned the win for NY Gremlins. They surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking one. K Santala took the loss for Midland Explorers. They went three innings, surrendering 12 runs (eight earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking five.

Zenon Winters drove the middle of the lineup, leading NY Gremlins with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Ladislao Malarczuk led NY Gremlins with two hits in two at bats. NY Gremlins had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. NY Gremlins didn’t commit a single error in the field. Blake Hunter had the most chances in the field with nine.

A Hoover led Midland Explorers with one hit in two at bats.
