APD: Man brings loaded gun to probation meeting
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly having a loaded handgun inside of the Albany County Probation Department. Shascott Ham was already on probation before being charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, according to police.
On Friday at around 2:50 p.m., the Albany County Probation Department notified police that Ham had a handgun during his meeting with his probation officer. Police say when they arrived on scene they found the handgun in a bag belonging to Ham.
Ham was arraigned at Albany City Criminal Court and placed in the custody of Albany County Jail.
