Woman in critical condition after being found in CT parking lot with life-threatening injuries

A woman who was found with life-threatening injuries in a New London parking lot late Friday remains in critical condition, police said.

New London police said officers and fire personnel responded to a report of an injured female in a parking lot of the 100 block of Ocean Avenue in New London, just after 10:45 p.m. Friday.

The officers and fire personnel immediately administered medical aid to the female victim, who was “found to be bleeding and unresponsive,” police said.

The victim, who was not identified by authorities, was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital “with life threatening injuries and subsequently transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for further treatment.” police said. The victim is currently listed in critical condition, police said.

An investigation into the cause of the victim’s injuries is active and ongoing, police said.
