Takvim have said that the likes of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce would have to wait a few more weeks to find out whether they can successfully sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham.

Hojbjerg is currently at the Euros with Denmark

Earlier this week, Hojbjerg’s agent Luca Puccinelli, publicly admitted what has been an open secret for a long time, confirming that his client’s four-year spell at Tottenham will come to an end this summer (Fabrizio Romano).

However, it is anybody’s guess where the 28-year-old will end up this summer, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Juventus credited with an interest in the player (The Daily Star via Football.London).

Meanwhile, reports from Turkey over recent weeks have suggested that Jose Mourinho is keen on reuniting with Hojbjerg at Fenerbahce while their local rivals Galatasaray are also thought to be plotting a move for the experienced midfielder (Sabah).

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will have to wait

Takvim have now confirmed that the two Istanbul clubs are indeed keeping a close eye on the Tottenham man’s situation and could launch offers for the player soon.

However, it is pointed out that they will have to wait for a few more weeks as Hojbjerg is now fully focused on doing well for Denmark at the Euros and will not entertain talks over his future.

The publication adds that the former Southampton man is only expected to make a decision on his future on or after July 15.

Spurs Web Opinion

Hojbjerg is a model professional who prides himself on playing at the highest level.

I do not see how he would consider moving to Turkey at this stage of his career, particularly when top clubs from Italy and Spain are after him.
