Darren Harris Has Surgery
Not a great bit of summer news, but not as bad as it might seem.
A bit of summer news that is not good but could be far worse: freshman Darren Harris will be out for a while with a fractured hand. The good news? It’s not his shooting hand. The better news? It’s not a lower body injury.
Harris should be able to train in a lot of ways, though some things will clearly not be possible in the short term. But presumably once he’s out of the immediate situation, he can run and work on things that he can do that don’t involve his hand. And while it may seem goofy, shooting with one hand really forces you to shoot with just your fingertips. Harris clearly doesn’t need much help in that department, but it could work to his advantage if he finds things he can do until he’s 100 percent.
