Gamethread: White Sox at Tigers
A true mid-off, someone has to win tonight
First and foremost, happy birthday, Garrett Crochet! Thank you for your skilled pitching in a time of great sadness on the South Side.

Now down to business. The White Sox will be in the Motor City this weekend to face the not-so-fierce Tigers. I spoke to Chris Brown for Visiting Dugout recently, exchanging horror stories and comparing notes about the neverending bad baseball being played by both teams. Arms are needed, fire sales will be happening, and both teams remain at the bottom.
Speaking of trade bait, Erick Fedde will get the start tonight. Fedde carries a modest 3.09 ERA, 3.4 WAR, and five wins under his belt. Hopefully, the White Sox give him another win instead of flopping in the later innings like they’re known for.

The Tigers have Jack Flaherty on the mound tonight. Flaherty joined the sad American League Central this season and seems to be on a similar trajectory to his opponent tonight. Like Fedde, his ERA is modest at 3.01, and four wins under his belt.
