ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A crowded field of six democrats are trying to win the June 25th primary and replace Pat Fahy in the NY Assembly 109th district. One of them is Albany Common Council member Jack Flynn.

He would like to demolish Interstate 787 and replace it with a boulevard. Flynn also has ideas on what to do with the now closed, College of Saint Rose campus.

"I think Hudson Valley (community college), or another educational facility should come in there," said Flynn. He adds, "it would be great for Albany High School, it would be great for all the kids just to be able to walk just a few blocks to school and get their education."

Another idea for the Saint Rose is to make sure Albany County is getting revenue from the campus buildings. "It would be good to work a balance between putting some of those buildings back on the tax rolls and somewhere where our kids can go to school," said Flynn.

He sat down with News10 to discuss the issues facing the 109th district.
