Major airline launches brand new flights to the ‘theme park capital of the world’ from London Heathrow

BRIT holidaymakers will be able to travel to the “theme park capital of the world” from London Heathrow.

Delta will operate a new seasonal service between Orlando and London Heathrow starting October 26.

It will become Delta’s only direct flight from the Sunshine state to the UK.

Orlando boasts more than 230 days of sunshine annually and over 800 miles of beaches – which are perfect for the winter escape.

The route will operate four times a week until March 29 as customers fly on an Airbus A330-900neo.

Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, said: “In partnership with Virgin Atlantic, our new route between Orlando and London seamlessly connects two diverse destinations, offering customers a wealth of experiences on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Floridians can explore London’s historic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and enjoy world-class dining, while Londoners can escape to the sunny beaches and world-famous attractions of Orlando.”

Travellers can expect a world-class comfort as they cross the pond with in-flight entertainment, onboard Wi-Fi and free mobile messaging.

Customers opting for Delta One Suites will enjoy a premium sleep on the long-haul flight with plush bedding and a lie-flat seats.

They will also be offered a seasonal chef-curated four-course meal and more beverage options.

Flyers in the Delta Premium Select cabin will have a wider seat with deeper recline and an adjustable footrest and leg rest to stretch their legs out as they cross the Atlantic.

Currently, holidaymakers can hop on the Virgin Atlantic’s daily service from Orlando to London.

The Florida city is home to some of the world’s best theme parks and welcomes more than 70 million tourists every year.

Once you land, you’ll find the world-renowned parks Disney World and Universal Studios, as well as Legoland and Peppa Pig theme parks.

Disney World has four theme parks and two waterparks covering 25,000 acres – the same size as San Francisco.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios has two parks and 50 rides.

Peppa Pig Theme Park is one of the latest additions and is part of the Legoland resort.

With over 20 rides and attractions, performances, themed eateries, and character meet-and-greets, the theme park is all about Peppa.
