Myers is starting to look like the real deal, so scoop him up pronto, especially with news that Gasser needs Tommy John surgery.

Welcome back to another week of Fantasy baseball. June is nearly done, but there’s still time to make a big move in your league standings, so be sure to milk the wire.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Picks
Tobias Myers, SP, Milwaukee Brewers (ESPN: 8.3; CBS: 51 per cent): When promising youngster Robert Gasser hit the IL, Myers was recalled to replace him and he’s been absolutely lights out this month, giving up a mere single run over three starts covering 20 1/3 frames while going 3-0 with a 0.44 ERA. It’s clear that Milwaukee has another solid rookie hurler on its hands in Myers, who has mostly pitched out of the rotation this season. Eddie Yamin, 1B/OF, C, LSU Tigers (ESPN: NA; CBA: NA): Out of it in your dynasty league? Maybe it’s time to plan for the future and grab a potential future stud. Yamin enjoyed a breakout campaign at Dayton, earning All A-10 honours by averaging over a run and ribbie per game while batting over .340. LSU scooped him up for 2025 through the transfer portal, and with his power, size (6’5″, 210) and penchant for whiffing, he reminds us of Michael Toglia (except with possible catcher eligibility). We suggest keeping an eye on Yamin for the 2025 MLB draft.
Landon Knack, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers (ESPN: 0.3 per cent; CBS: 6 per cent): Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler are out, so even with Bobby Miller back, the Dodgers needed another SP, with Knack to get the call for Friday. In four starts with the team earlier this season, Knack more than held his own, going 1-1 with a 2.61 ERA and sub-1.00 WHIP — not too shabby for his first taste of the show. He’s been tough to hit at Triple-A, showing progress in his ability to limit baserunners. Knack is yet another product of the Dodger pitching factory, so give him a look in NL-only leagues.
Oscar Colas, OF, Chicago White Sox (ESPN: 0.1 per cent; CBS: 3 per cent): A graduate of our Top 100 Prospects list this year, Colas is barely playing right now and there’s talk he’ll soon be headed back to Triple-A to get regular ABs, but don’t sleep on him as a second-half option. Expect Tommy Pham and/or Luis Robert Jr. to be dealt, opening up PT for Colas and making him a decent stash candidate. Colas has hit well in very limited opportunities this season, although he’s failed to show any extra-base pop yet. And while his counting cats at Triple-A this year weren’t anything to write home about, we still believe there’s upside in his game.

- Catcher Braxton Fulford, Colorado’s 2021 sixth round pick, seems to have stalled at Double-A. On the plus side, he’s stayed healthy and shown a bit more power this season, but he’s now 25 and simply isn’t developing quickly enough to have much of a chance at ever seeing more than a cup of coffee in the bigs — if that.
- It’s time to pay attention to D-back starter Ryne Nelson. After hurling seven strong frames against Washington on Thursday (three hits, no walks allowed), he’s now composed three very sweet starts in his last four tries for a 3.75 ERA in June. Nelson has nearly matched his 2023 win total already — in 15 fewer starts. Pick him up in NL-only leagues.
- Cardinal IF/OF Brendan Donovan is looking like a must-add player right now. On Thursday he played the hero, spanking a two-run shot and adding a double as part of a three-hit, three-RBI performance. Donovan has hit safely in five straight and 14 of 15 while steadily improving as the season has progressed. No, he’s not hitting as well as last year, but that’s turning around quickly, so give him a look if he’s available in your league.
- It’s time to give Brandon Lowe another look in Fantasy leagues. He had a double and sac fly on Thursday, giving him hits in three of the last four (two of them multi-hit efforts). Yes, the strikeouts continue to pile up, but Lowe now has an 851 OPS in June as he’s hit much better after an awful run through April and May. Overall, the counting cat numbers look weak, but he’s someone you want if he maintains this level of play.
