Man charged with sexual abuse of a child in Dutchess County

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police report the arrest of an East Rockaway man in connection to a sex crime investigation. Kyle Hernandez, 28, has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

Hernandez is accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 11. He was arrested on June 20 following a state police investigation conducted alongside the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center.

Hernandez was arraigned at the Village of Wappingers Falls Court before being remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on June 26.
