Moped driver suffers life-threatening injuries in Milford crash

A moped driver was seriously injured during a crash in Milford on Friday morning.

Officers with the Traffic Division responded at 8:20 a.m. to reports of a serious motor vehicle crash and found that a 48-year-old man had suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the Milford Police Department.

Police said the man was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.

According to police, a preliminary investigation found that the man was driving a Tekk Cruiser moped when he struck a vehicle that was exiting a private parking lot.

The crash remains under investigation.
