Prosecutor asks police to keep working gun investigation involving Michigan lawmaker
A Michigan prosecutor is asking police for more information in an investigation of a Republican state lawmaker. Rep. Neil Friske was arrested Thursday when officers responded to reports of possible gunshots in Lansing, the state capital. Lansing police submitted a request for charges Friday. Friske was arrested in the wee hours in an area where he owns a condominium. He was released from custody Friday. Defense attorney Ed Zeineh says Friske is innocent, though he declined to comment on any details about the incident.
